The Flex-General MBA program options offers a broad-based education with course work from each McCoy College department: Accounting, Computer Information Systems & Quantitative Methods, Finance & Economics, Management, and Marketing.
As with all MBA program options, the Flex-General MBA emphasizes the knowledge and tools needed for professional success and is designed for those individuals who expect to pursue careers in the management of organizations in either the public or private sector. This is a 42-hour program consisting of the following:

9 credit hours of graduate elective coursework must be selected from Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, or Quantitative Methods. Elective courses in disciplines outside the field of business will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Students enrolled in the Flex-General MBA option may choose to write an optional thesis. Within the thesis plan, the student must complete the same requirements as the non-thesis option except that 6 credit hours of electives will be replaced by 6 hours of thesis credit.
